RPS13 @ Meister Cup

October 24th, 2011

Putting aside the Burst drivers such as Nakamura-san and Mitsuyoshi-san this particular RPS13 stood out to me at the Meister Cup back in April. The car was modified very cleanly and was also sitting on one of my favourite wheels of all time – Blitz 03’s. I hope to build something very similar to this one day.

Front-wheel lock ups make captures much more dramatic. Have a fun weekend everyone. Casey x

To this date I still can’t believe I was fortunate enough to shoot the original Team Burst drivers on their natural soil being Meihan Sports Land. Here are a few more images of them riding the wall.

If you look closely you will see more than 1 car. Talk about proximity.

TJ’s PS13 continued…

Todd Waldons PS13

October 18th, 2011

So with my site filling your minds with content from Japan I wanted to take this moment to share with you an image of a car that built and shot in Australia. From recent posts in Japan you might remember the name Todd Waldon or TJ, well this is his PS13. Fortunately enough I was able to shoot the car before it got sold to someone down south. Now, the car has been repainted white, raised and look nothing like it does in this shot. This, without a doubt was in its prime, exactly how TJ wanted it. This was taken an hour and a bit west of Brisbane on a long dirt road with kangaroo signs lining the sides, quite Australian yes? There has been no car built quite like this in Australia and that’s exactly why it was such a big hit to the community. I commend Todd on building such an aggressive and stanced s-chassis, it definitely needs to happen more. Over the next week or so I will be putting more images up, for now enjoy this one! x

The Perfect Vantage Point

The perfect vantage point: Standing next to Yuu-san watching the high-speed entries at Meihan Sports Land. Life was good.

As promised, more images from the Supermade cars – Nissan Gloria and of course the S15 Silvia. This photo above is probably one of my favourites from my whole trip to Osaka. I kindly asked the fellow decked out in a Supermade jacket and parachute pants if he’d like to get a photo with the car and he agreed. These type of photos remind me of the Dori Ten styled images with the Japanese pointing to specific parts on their cars pulling stupid faces, however this one was a little more casual.

The day we visited Supermade Takanori-san agreed to park the S15 out the back for me to feature, here is a little teaser on what’s to come very soon. So, I have to ask, what would you prefer? The 4 door Nissan Gloria or the S15 Silvia?
