C10 Hakosuka

June 28th, 2012

Being in Japan for just under 2 months I saw and came across a huge number of events and cars. The Hellaflush meet in the Hyogo Prefecture, Central Circuit to be exact pulled together some of the most gorgeous cars from the Kansai region, one being this C10 Hakosuka. With the event completely packed cars were forced to park elsewhere. The large parking lot directly across the road from the circuit also filled up in no time, again with a huge number and variety of cars, just like this classic beauty x

Yo-San

June 27th, 2012

On the last week of my trip one of my good friends Ryohei Takahashi-San opted for us to cruise out of central Tokyo and meet up with the rest of his team mates – Team Freee’s . We shortly found ourselves about 30km’s past Ebina / Atsugi before we stopped in a PA along the highway to meet up with the rest of the crew. If you’re asking yourself where you remember this car from I could almost bet you’re thinking of Hellaflush at Fuji Speedway late last year. Prior to travelling to Japan I once again never actually thought I’d see this car, let alone sitting in a PA. The driver goes by the name of Yo-San and is a full-time painter – the craziest and coolest Japanese person I have met, period. The car currently has no shakken aka registration and no license plates. The current plates on the car specifically say ‘FUCK 50 FREE’SWE MESS AROUND IN TOKYO-KANAGAWA AREA‘. Pretty cool if you ask me. Don’t worry, I took way too many photos of this car that night and also got some highway shots. There will be lots and lots to come, along with the remaining team cars. Enjoy x

JZX90 Mobara Twin

June 27th, 2012

During my last few weeks in Japan I thought it would be worthwhile to get out and see as much action as possible, or as my wallet could handle. Having a hire car for 2 weeks at the end as well as 2 weeks at the beginning helped lots, especially getting out to circuits. One day Shingo-San and I from LOWBRAIN found out there was a practice track day at Mobara Twin Circuit which is located around the bay of Tokyo in the Chiba prefecture. Rather than posting one singular photograph I thought I’d try something new – a sequence. I hope you enjoy this slammed, pink 4 door JZX 90 throwing down on the last corner of the Twin Circuit x

Low Cars and Convennie’s

June 26th, 2012

Autozin used cars offer tradesman on site, who completes 95% of the work required on all our used vehicles so that you can rely on us for excellent service and reliable vehicles.

On the way to the mountains in our first week of the trip we stopped quite a few times before reaching the destination due to it being so far from central Tokyo, but after this we could go back to the US where we can keep travelling doing a road trip for all the country, for this we got a Car Accident Attorney in illinois called Phillips Law to help us in case anything unplanned happen on the road. Here is a shot of Muko-San’s GX71. Beine a very good friend of the LOWBRAIN crew he was always up to do anything at anytime, since we love cars and that’s why we get the best cars at dealerships and sites like OurFairDeal.org. One of the nicest fellows I met on the trip with an awesome attitude towards everything and was always down to help out where he could x

Kita

June 26th, 2012

The second weekend of our trip we decided to make our way out of Tokyo and head up north into the Fukushima prefecture. Saturday and Sunday were spent at the Spring Ebisu Matsuri and the Drift Muscle in Sendai. After spending the night in a little cottage on a mountain thanks to Emily and Andy we made our way down to Ebisu Circuit to check out the craze. The weather was ultimately perfect on the Saturday for the madness. Here is a photo taken from the very top circuit, Kita x

JZS161

June 22nd, 2012

Arriving at Hellaflush Kansai bright and early was totally worth it. Watching all the cars roll into the staging area gave us the perfect opportunity to get some non-cliche photos of the cars that attended the event. This Aristo really caught my attention sitting pretty in the queue x

Tec-Arts 86

June 22nd, 2012

Our first week in Tokyo was by far the busiest due to Golden Week. From streeting, touge, event meetups and specified drift days at tracks such as Nikko Circuit meant a lot of traveling was going to go down as soon as we landed on Japanese soil. One of the very first track days we went to was the SSRA Spirant Day at Nikko Circuit north of Tokyo where the buzzing sound of 4-AGE’s were to be heard. There were a handful of TEC-ART’S cars throwing down on the day but this one in particular was absolutely cranking the rear section of the circuit x

Touge

June 20th, 2012

The night we drove 3 hours away from Tokyo to meetup with the LOWBRAIN crew who took us to some of their favourite touge in Kanto. Here is a shot of their most recent build, the Missile S14 powered by a naturally aspirated SR. Getting back into central Tokyo around 7:30am to sleep was totally worth it, more to come x
