My parents arrived home today from a 2 week trip to Hong Kong, to say the least I’m happy with the gifts brought home for me. This has made me a little more excited for 2011 Summer.

I’ve always been into my urban photography, starting out in grade 9/10 I remember catching public transport into the city with my little SLR and shoot all day. On my last trip I captured some different styled images on the streets and through malls. No matter what this trip I tried to take at least one camera with me everywhere, one being my DSLR and one being my 35mm, at some stages they were both wrapped around my neck. For the majority of our time in Japan we were located in the heart of Osaka, Shinsaibashi, a place filled with an unbelievable amount of people, amazing clothing stores and exquisite dining. I honestly couldn’t tell you how many times we walked up and down the Shinsaibashi mall to get to the Dotonbori bridge but it was a LOT. I was so hooked on the shops they had running down the mall, for instance this one ‘PARK’. The design of the shops are just awesome, it was even giving me ideas for my house one day.

Weekends are days that seem to arrive unbelievably quick all of a sudden, and of course end too fast. Entering my third week being un-employed I’m starting to gain a few photography jobs, not necessarily cars though. This coming Monday will be my first ever time shooting in a legit studio for a fashion label, definitely have mixed emotions but I”m looking forward to it!
Hope everyone has a swell weekend, get out and enjoy the last couple of weeks of Summer! I’m hitting the beach tomorrow until Sunday night across the border to the gorgeous Byron Bay. Love C. x

As I continue to dig up photos from the Autumn Matsuri, I came across this set of images of the Kansai boys when they entered Ebisu. Yes, more photos of John’s PS13, but I can’t get enough. This is one of my favourite photos of the car. Just chilling in the touge car park, overlooking the East Course surrounded by a dozen missiles.

Here, Shane’s quad-bike which he uses to scoot around the mountain to not only save petrol in the car but to have some fun! Oh and John’s car sneaking in the background. Damn Hoshino’s rock!

Erin from JDM Garage arrived in this C33 Laurel. Within an hour of there arrival I was in the car having a blast on the Driftland course, only to find a boost leak, which was an easy fix! The car has had an engine swap from an RB20 to an SR.

Drift Kansai, gathered.

Be sure to check out; K-Tours Osaka, Drift Kansai & Auszoku. There are limited spots left for Spring Matsuri with K-Tours Osaka, ran by Erin from JDM Garage.
