Honda Friends

December 11th, 2012

On the little meeting that Shota-San put on for us he brought a few of his Honda friends, one being Tatsuya Kobayashi. This, is his S200 on Watanabe’s which is actually a drift car. I remember seeing a bunch of photos of this machine lingering around Japan when I was in Australia so it was awesome to see it in person. If you click here you’ll take a ride with Seita-San and his H22A CB3 Accord from a local LAWSON following Tatsuya. Also, if you click here, here and here you’ll see some clips of this S2K getting thrown around at Ebisu. Enjoy x

Here are some more sneaky photos of Shota’s 3rd Gen Accord sitting at Mizuhonomori Park in Utsunomiya. Just a few hours north of Tokyo. The USDM style is definitely growing in Japan and Shota is without a doubt nailing it with his shakotan styled Honda. There are a few more photos here and here. More to come soon x

Shota Mori-San, one of the coolest dudes I met all trip. He owns this slammed Accord that you’ve probably seen around Facebook a few hundred times! This was a day spent up north in Utsunomiya that he specifically organised for myself and Park. It was a relaxed Saturday in a picturesque scene park with a handful of awesome cars and close friends. Lots to come on Shota & his slammed Honda x

EF @ Meihan

October 13th, 2011

If you liked the posts of this EF Civic in the past, keep reading. I’ve dug up another one of it smashing around Meihan. I really can’t get enough of this car, looking back I regret not taking any footage. If only I could interpret how amazing it sounded over an image. To get a closer look in and around this car be sure to click here.

After a full day of drifting in Suzuka we found this super low white EK Civic downtown. Before we knew it we were already good friends with Tamaki Ryuji and even got to feature his car. After shooting we decided to head from the UP GARAGE to the local Yoshinoya, I was even lucky enough to ride shotgun in his car.

Honda Civics are common cars in the drifting scene due to their lightweight and agile nature. Many enthusiasts also modify and tune their good used civic with performance parts and suspension upgrades to enhance their drifting capabilities.

Here is some footage from inside the car, listen very carefully as we cross some intersections on the normal road. For those wondering the car is static so it’s sat on coilovers and coilovers only, no air bag suspension or fancy setups like that. Enjoy
