Domestic Rolling

January 11th, 2012

Last night was the local JDMST meet which happened to be around 700 cars heading out to Queensland Raceway. Unfortunately I didn’t get many shots out there as the lighting was quite dark however Robo managed to snap a few from the back of the E7 of Morgan’s Zenki.

It was the third or fourth time taking my car for a drive and I’m happy we got to change the coil yesterday afternoon which helped us get to QR without breaking down so now the car runs nice and smoothly. PS: These ones are taken with an iPhone so please excuse the quality.

I have to say it was pretty awesome rolling alongside Morgan, so much respect to this lad, this car is truly one of the stand out streeters in the country.

Still plenty of things to be done to the car but for now it’s time to enjoy it just a little. Be sure to check out Morgan’s blog @ UPSIDE x

With the amount we did in Sydney I haven’t had much time to update the blog. Now that I’m back home I will try my best to keep the posts rolling. Whilst I was sifting through my Japanese galleries today I came across yet another photo off this amazing Zenki PS14 from a night in Nagoya. I can’t get over how much I enjoy looking at this car, it’s so spot on in every manner. I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend! Casey x

Shooting MSC was one of the happiest days of my life. The competition layout is so perfect for both shooting and spectating. In saying that, the track itself was mind blowing witnessing it all in real life, it was ever so surreal.

As the sun set over Mobara Twin Circuit, the final stages of the competition took place. At this time in the afternoon, I have to say perfect would be an understatement. Switching on the headlights made for even better images. I absolutely love this set of Mori-san which is the boss of Auto Service Mori, for his age he is an unbelievably talented driver.

Exiting the long, consistent 3rd gear left hander, there was a spot where the sun would light the car for about 1-2 seconds before it blasted back into the shadows.

As Nigel and I arrived at Nikko Circuit for the second time within 48 hours, we were greeted by an un-countable number of gorgeous s-chassis smashing around the track. Along with the SB Corporation S15 this aggressive, candy, apple red zenki S14 caught my eye as it dropped 3-wheeled entries into the first corner at Nikko. The car looked extremely mean as it clicked 3rd gear to link the back section. If only I could explain how this SR sounded against the giant cliff-face at the back of the circuit, so raspy and so responsive.

In the sun, the candy red paint sparkled a pretty orange colour. This is really what I was planning on seeing in Japan, I am really glad Nigel and I took the time to drive 170km/s south from Nihonmatsu to Utsunomiya. It was quite a shock seeing the circuit whilst travelling along the highway.

Right before the car reached the tighter section, the car was well on full boost, as you can see.
