Just a small selection of the 86’s at Idlers meeting, Tsukuba Circuit x

The Idlers event is a circuit day held at Tsukuba Circuit just north of Tokyo. I’m sure you, just like myself have previewed an uncountable amount of articles, publications and reports on this specific day. Incase you’re in a bit of a daze about the whole event here is a brief rundown; Idlers Club is a Tokyo-based community built purely from the raw, nostalgic European clubman-style racing. Here you’ll find a vast range of classes from FWD Mini Coopers to 600hp naturally aspirated wide-body Porsche’s. Idlers host a number of meetings – the circuit days are taken place at the ever so famous Tsukuba Circuit, where as the endurance races are held further south in the Kansai region of Japan at Twin Ring Motegi.

After a 2 day bender of non-stop shooting and a forecast of heavy rain on Sunday we thought we’d take the chance and head to Tsukuba for the Spring Idlers meeting with Nakai-san. To be perfectly honest, I thought it was going to be a paddock filled with RWB Porsches, however, Japan, once again proved me wrong. Be sure to check out the desktop of this Fairlady x

Carina x Celica meeting in Fujinomiya x

Post Hellaflush all the way south in Hyogo we thought we’d check out the Nostalgic Car Show in Odaiba on that Sunday. The show itself didn’t look very interesting so we walked to the conbini a hundred meters past the event to have a quick scan at the parking lot across the road. You might hear this phrase a fair amount when looking at Japanese related blogs and websites “the parking lot is always as interesting or even more-so than the event itself“.  Needless to say there were a bunch of mind-blowingly cool cars that we couldn’t get over. Spending a good few hours walking around and chatting to the owners, it was one of the best Sundays spent on the entire trip!

Once again this was the case. I still have a load of un-seen images that will be posted over the next few weeks. To catch up on previous posts from this day click here x

Shota Mori-San, one of the coolest dudes I met all trip. He owns this slammed Accord that you’ve probably seen around Facebook a few hundred times! This was a day spent up north in Utsunomiya that he specifically organised for myself and Park. It was a relaxed Saturday in a picturesque scene park with a handful of awesome cars and close friends. Lots to come on Shota & his slammed Honda x

My parents arrived home today from a 2 week trip to Hong Kong, to say the least I’m happy with the gifts brought home for me. This has made me a little more excited for 2011 Summer.
