夜のストリート

February 22nd, 2013

Capturing the soul of the street. A place where nothing else really matters, where all your focus as a driver, spectator or even an outsider like myself trying to be discreet with a camera is so strongly drawn into what is happening at that exact moment. Captures such as this really define why I spend months working and saving to travel. I am still so fortunate that during this day and age it is possible to completely freeze a moment and look back on it years and years to come and never get old. No matter what, a single photograph will always tell a story, no matter how long, short, lame, exciting it may be. Photography is without a doubt one of the most amazing things invented, period. Street – forever poisoned in the blood of the bay side area kids x

After finishing work on a Thursday night, Friday morning I am sitting here, typing, watching the sun rise out of my office window. I couldn’t help to scroll through some archives from the streets of Kanto. Here, is one of my favourite images I captured one morning. I always feel the need to post non cliche` photos on Fridays so here is an update for this morning. Throwing towards a parked trailer on the street. Super groovy S14 who could really, really drive. Happy friday and happy weekend. Casey x

This week marks the two year anniversary of the birth of Shirtstuckedin. The story behind the origins of this site is a humble one – it all started purely as a platform from which I could share with you the photographs that never made it to publication with my employers. In short, it was a creative outlet where I could showcase the remainder of my work and give an insight into what happens ‘behind the scenes’. As for the name – well, it was a cold night, I was riding and my shirt and jumper were tucked in to keep me warm. Silly? Yep, I totally agree. Since these humble beginnings I have dedicated myself to keeping Shirtstuckedin stocked with quality content. I have travelled both nationally and internationally, taking you guys – my valued followers, along for the ride with me. Having returned home just days ago from a two month trip to Japan, I have prepared a couple of celebratory surprises to say thank you for joining me on this amazing two year ride. Casey x
