Starting out as minor leaks caused by drains backing up on themselves suddenly turned into a river. Around about 09:00PM on Wednesday night, my brother, Rob and myself were monitoring the water levels from about 8 different locations. As we drove through Carragundi road, all of a sudden had a thin line of water running across the road, quite like it had just rained, nothing more than a millimetre or two spread across the bitumen. A couple of hours had passed so we thought we would go for another drive and check up on things around the area. Carragundi road was virtually inaccessible, with the raging waters raising in front of our eyes it wasn’t looking good for the local corner shops, let alone the houses surrounding it.
The aftermath; This… The shops were completely inundated with water. It isn’t very visible in these photos but the water level reached as high as the shark on the seafood shop sign. This photos were captured on Friday afternoon and I have to say it was quite an emotional walk through the area having people lost absolutely everything they own. More to come soon.

First of all, I’d like to apologise to all for the lack of updates over the past few weeks, it’s been far from normal. Yesterday I dropped off a few rolls of film to get developed which were taken over the past couple of months. Thats one thing I absolutely love about film is the surprise of how the images turned out when they’re processed and what they’re actually of.
I’m sure the majority of you are familiar with Brisbane’s floods over this past week. I’ve had people contacting me from the other side of the globe so I take it the news was broadcasted everywhere. Today, being the 5th day with no power, at 9:00AM this morning it clicked back on. This week my house and estate where completely isolated as all the homes, businesses and shops were completely submerged by the raging currents from the Brisbane River. I am so thankful everyone is okay. Considering whats happened this week I can’t believe the number of people getting there hands dirty with smiles on their faces, with attitudes like this all this mess will be cleaned up in no time.
The news announced this morning that over the course of summer we are going to see up to 9 cyclones hit the south-east coast, the weatherman stated ‘With all this water still laying around and king tides and cyclones forecast, prepare for the worst’ I guess we can only prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

I have to say, it’s been a pretty crazy few days.

Since my return back home in Australia, I’ve been struggling to gain enough motivation to go out and shoot some cars. After yesterday’s Christmas Bash at Queensland Raceway myself, Robo and Nick drove to the opposite side of the city for the JDMST end of monthly meet. As we entered the car park, the first car I laid eyes on was Chris Pang’s  immaculate S15 slammed on a full set of TE37’s. It was great to see the car out as it received a manual conversion only last week. My levels of motivation climbed instantly. It’s good to see some tough cars getting around Brisbane.
