Today was a great day, I had the honour of hanging out with the guys from Mercury Motorsport and to document a day of testing for this years World Time Attack which is only just over a week away, how scary! The R35 GT-R is currently on a safe tune at 500 KW at all 4 wheels, pure aggression. The only thing I could relate to seeing this machine on the track was a GT500 car, to me that’s impressive! Tomorrow I will be covering the Annual Nissan and AWD Time Attack shootout, stay tuned for articles on Speedhunters.

Here is a sneak peak of 1 of the many workshops we visited. One of the days I think I counted 14 workshops within a 7 hour period, each shop was reasonably short and quick but it was well worth visiting all the garages we did. Here is a photo I took at the very first workshop we visited one morning, it was called Auto Service which by the looks of things specialises in circuit cars, mainly GT-R’s. This specific GT-R was parked around the corner alongside the workshop so it was just asking for a photo. How aggressive is that rear spoiler. Ever since I rode in a 35 GT-R last year I was instantly addicted, I look forward to the day I own one myself.

Over the past few months I’ve posted nothing but Japanese photos from my trip back in late 2010. Shooting regularly in Australia I tend to never really post much, mainly because I see it all over the web over and over. However today I showed up to a local Time Attack day out at QR where some pretty cool cars where testing, one being Mark Hansen’s R35 GT-R with over 600bhp. This shot out of all the others screamed out to me so I chose it!

Whilst I’m doing a post I’d like to thank each and every one of you who’ve donated to the Japanese fund I setup on the blog last Friday. Since then we’ve raised a total of $552.56 keep the donations coming!. I’m over the moon, so once again thankyou.
