夜のストリート

February 22nd, 2013

Capturing the soul of the street. A place where nothing else really matters, where all your focus as a driver, spectator or even an outsider like myself trying to be discreet with a camera is so strongly drawn into what is happening at that exact moment. Captures such as this really define why I spend months working and saving to travel. I am still so fortunate that during this day and age it is possible to completely freeze a moment and look back on it years and years to come and never get old. No matter what, a single photograph will always tell a story, no matter how long, short, lame, exciting it may be. Photography is without a doubt one of the most amazing things invented, period. One of the best weekends spent in Japan. Check out another photo of this GX51 Cresta with 61 front end here x

Post Hellaflush all the way south in Hyogo we thought we’d check out the Nostalgic Car Show in Odaiba on that Sunday. The show itself didn’t look very interesting so we walked to the conbini a hundred meters past the event to have a quick scan at the parking lot across the road. You might hear this phrase a fair amount when looking at Japanese related blogs and websites “the parking lot is always as interesting or even more-so than the event itself“.  Needless to say there were a bunch of mind-blowingly cool cars that we couldn’t get over. Spending a good few hours walking around and chatting to the owners, it was one of the best Sundays spent on the entire trip!

Once again this was the case. I still have a load of un-seen images that will be posted over the next few weeks. To catch up on previous posts from this day click here x

きっずはあとスカイラインでエビスサーキット祭り。This was definitely an afternoon to remember on my last trip to Japan. Spending the Saturday of the Spring Matsuri sitting at the South 南 Course watching girl drifter Rei Shinmi-San all the way from Nagoya, Kansai making the most of the open track as the sun was setting behind the mountains of Ebisu. 6 weeks x
