This N/A powered RB R32 Skyline was one of the grooviest cars in the paddock at Nikko Circuit for the RB Meeting a few months ago. It was refreshing to see a touch of old school style added to this 4 door with its lowness, 15″ Watanabe’s and six-throttled-setup RB motor. Absolutely awesome. Seeing YZ Circuit was a first for me last trip. It was definitely worth the drive back from Osaka to Nagoya for the weekend. Nagoya is almost like a different little world in itself, haggard drift cars driving around the town all day everyday, a bunch of UP GARAGES, workshops and plenty of action everywhere. Here is one of my favourite cars from MSC Challenge x

Meihan Sports Land is definitely a favourite circuit to shoot when in the Kansai region of Japan. I was lucky enough to sneak one little Soukoukai drift day during the week with Jesse, Joel and Laurence. It was nothing the size of the events I attended last year however the drivers who attended were still tearing up along the wall. This particular driver goes by the name of Tsutomu-San who competes in D1SL and the Kansai All Stars in his Coureges PS13 x

I don’t think these guys get enough recognition – Mind Control Racing from Nagoya. Making serious moves behind the curtains, some of the best drivers I’ve seen in Japan, especially Yokoi-San. x

Rolling up to Higashi YZ Circuit for a MSC round I didn’t really expect what cars were going to be in the paddock. Walking around the pits at MSC is always put stress on the brain, there are so many bright and colourful cars you don’t know where to look or point the camera. In the mist of all the cars I saw two stupidly low R32 Skylines, yep, R32 Low Down Style. This crew has been around since I was 2 years old, 1993 to be exact. For so many years I have watched, admired and dug through so many archives to try and find more and more photos of these cars so this day was literally a dream come true. Unfortunately the main car, this one above did one warm up lap and had some issues for the car which made him forfit for the day. That however didn’t stop him from driving home. This is basically the only photo I got of him on the circuit but I have a few of him exiting the event. x

Seeing this sight on my last night in Japan made the 2 hour train trip out to the docks with smelly, drunken Japanese people worth it. Takuya and Shingo from LOWBRAIN decided to come hang out with us on my last night too. Even with a blown RB25 Takuya still managed to put on a decent show just before the police turned up. x
