After a full day of drifting in Suzuka we found this super low white EK Civic downtown. Before we knew it we were already good friends with Tamaki Ryuji and even got to feature his car. After shooting we decided to head from the UP GARAGE to the local Yoshinoya, I was even lucky enough to ride shotgun in his car.

Honda Civics are common cars in the drifting scene due to their lightweight and agile nature. Many enthusiasts also modify and tune their good used civic with performance parts and suspension upgrades to enhance their drifting capabilities.

Here is some footage from inside the car, listen very carefully as we cross some intersections on the normal road. For those wondering the car is static so it’s sat on coilovers and coilovers only, no air bag suspension or fancy setups like that. Enjoy

Tamaki-sans EK, what a night.

As you may know on our Facebook we’ve constantly been posting images of this car every now and then, but now you deserve a closer look at this little EF Civic. Firstly, I spotted this car at Meihan Sports Land at the Wreck `Em day, it actually arrived quite late. As soon as it rolled in I was immediately hooked and managed to get a closer look before it hit the track.

The driver that arrived in this little machine seemed to be good friends with the Team Burst drivers. After a few sessions on the track Nakamura started to drive it on the track behind the Team Burst trains, managing to get it on 3 wheels into most corners. As you may know, I have a crazy fetish for older cars, one being EF Civics. This one is styled so perfectly it’s a car I would not change at all. The interior is completely stripped with only a few bare essentials such as this Bride drivers seat, also a full roll-cage.

As for the exterior it’s very basic. I’m unsure on the wheels but they seem to look like a very old style of 14″ Enkei’s, maybe you guys might be know? Here it is parked up in front of the Team Burst PS13.

What’s a Civic without the authentic Honda Primo windshield banner? It’s the little things that count.

Back into the interior I noticed a little RAZO shift knob, such a neat change.

The standard dash and cluster remains, however that’s about all apart from an aftermarket dished steering wheel too! These types of cars scream out so much to me, I really wish I could explain how lovely it sounded. I really want to shoot more of these next time I’m in Japan.

The first time we experienced Tamaki-san’s crazy Honda EK Civic. Rolling along the streets of Suzuka with half a dozen drift cars and this shakotan EK. After a full day of drifting, things couldn’t have gotten any better, I’m really missing Japan. I still talk to Tamaki-san on Facebook on a regular occasion which really cool, I look forward to catching up with you soon sir.

Today was huge! We arrived at Suzuka Motorland just before lunch time and before we knew it the boys were out smashing the track. To sum up today’s happenings I’ve chosen this above image, I managed to have some one on one time with these specific sprinters after the day concluded so stay tuned!

Straight from Motorland we headed into town to the local Autobacs and HotRoad car superstores, picking up some goodies. Just as we walked back to Autobacs from HotRoad we noticed a little EK hatch parked right next to our large group of beated up drift cars, we ended up speaking with the fellow and ended up having dinner all together! This car was fucking rediculous, I even went for a ride in it. Having to use 3 lanes to get across a train track in the middle of Suzuka was pretty interesting. Off to Meihan in 4 hours and possibly a USDM meet with over 500 cars in Suzuka! I LOVE JAPAN. Goodnight x

In all honesty words cannot describe how much I admire this style, slammed with rims such as SSR Mark II’s. It’s quite funny how much these cars have an impact on me, for instance I would literally pay money to feature one of these bad boys!

T-Minus 3 weeks till Japan. Bring it!
