KANSAI ALL STARS 2022

August 28th, 2022

the lead up to summer every single year in japan is by far without a doubt the busiest and craziest time of the year due to multiple events clashing together, one being kansai all stars in which for the most part everyone involved in this sport does what they can to prepare both the car and mentally for this event.

this year is my 4th year in a row driving this event, qualifying 1st for nara prefecture 2-3 weeks prior to kansai all stars at the end of july had put me in a good, somewhat confident mood for this years all stars!

i have stated this before on the blog but want to re-write it to give a little insight on how the event works and ran over the course of the day:

roughly 128 cars who attend the event.
– 5 minute practice sessions within your prefecture
– 1st session of qualifying which runs for 10 minutes (approximately 12-15 cars in each group and a total of 3-4 go through to the next round)
– 2nd session of qualifying pending you made it through the first round which once again goes for 10 minutes and 3-4 cars once again go through to the 3rd and final round of qualifying.
– lastly before the tournament (top 12) is the 3rd and final round of qualifying
– tournament (top 12) which is the battles but tanso (single runs only). this is the part that is usually shown on the kansai all stars videos on youtube released every year.
– prefecture dantai (5 cars together)
– super dantai where anyone is free to go out and take place in the extremely high number of cars running all together sun as the sun sets and the event is finished.

this year i managed to get through practice, 1st, 2nd and 3rd qualifying into the tournament (top 12) up against naoki nakamura then into top 6 against fukuyama and then into top 3 (finals) with nakagawa, hiro and myself finishing in 1st place.

below is the youtube video from the day – all outside footage from morning to PM – giant thank you to macey and keisuke for all the footage. photos are by keisuke, drift tengoku & cooper. i will do my best to be a little more mentally prepared next year to get some onboard footage.

a very large thank you to each and every single one of you lovely customers, fans, supporters globally who watched the kansai all stars live on youtube along with the insane amount of lovely messages showing love and support. this was a day i will never forget and i think will never feel real no matter how much time goes on. i will continue to keep pushing the limits with this brand and driving along with day to day life. level up forever, loveee always, caseyyy x

trying to put a lot more effort into onboard filming for my training and memories for sure however also each and all of you’s viewing pleasure. there are lots of RAW onboard and outside videos on the SHIRTSTUCKEDIN youtube including this first day back at meihan sportsland c course in the 3037 S13 in 10 months. another complete RAW edit with some outside footage to match some onboard runs. summer is definitely here in japan, drove the entire day slowly trying to ease back into the groove of how responsive and quick the car only running the car on low low boost for the entire day. as always, enjoyyyy! thanks @macey14 for the outside videos you legend! x

ROB’S AE86

May 19th, 2022

incase you missed the last photo set of rob’s AE86 here well here is another set i wanted to get up that was taken on the same day through the countryside of nara & mie prefectures in film. usually the black NA S13 or any of my personal cars are used for campaign look book shoots to feature any kind of products, stickers & inventory that are readily available to our upcoming releases. rob’s timeless 86 was also a perfect, timeless looking car to shoot too before it was unfortunately sold on.

as usual i’ll keep it short and sweet, enjoy this little photo set and some of the newest SHIRTSTUCKEDIN stickers & goods. caseyyyy x

SHOP SHIRTSTUCKEDIN

another RAW youtube video now uploaded from the last run of 2021. smack bang in the middle of winter for good friend shin-chan’s CAT’S EYE free run soukoukai at meihan sports land c course. the 2530 practice car has done nothing but bring help create some amazing memories and serve its purpose during the back end of 2021. i look forward to cleaning this car up and making it even more reliable this year.

both normal and reverse running with great friends all across japan. grab a beer and enjoy 30+ minutes of RAW onboard and outside footage. love always, enjoy the weekenddd. caseyy x

ROB’S AE86

January 5th, 2022

few days into the new year spent the day out with rob and his newly purchased levin coupe exploring the hills of nara and mie prefectures. shot mostly film today of some new goods coming very soon to our line of goods for SHIRTSTUCKEDIN which will be developed and released sometime late this month. it was super refreshing to get back out in a street registered, photogenic 1980s machine and take some photos – enjoy these few digital selects from a cold winters day in the mountains of kansai, japan x

D1GP奥伊吹

October 13th, 2021

the most recent double-rounds 7 & 8 of this years 2021 D1GP series once again held at okuibuki ski-resort in shiga prefecture, kansai 2 weekends ago here in japan. post tsukuba 2000 (last 2 rounds) the following round was planned to be ran and held at ebisu circuit, minami course however due to a little spike in covid cases it was postponed until late november therefore we were back at okuibuki in no time.

there are only 4 rounds left of 2021 both being doubles. end of october at autopolis and then late next month at minami circuit, ebisu. it has been an absolute blast shooting this years season and very excited for the last 2 courses especially as the weather is starting to shift over here dramatically.

a very large congratulations to nakamura naoki and the team for coming 1st for both rounds on saturday, sunday and placing 1st in top qualifier on sunday also. an absolute humbling and pleasure of an experience to be apart of such a determined and talented team. as usual here are some selects over the course of 2 days, just under 100 or so images constantly waiting for the sunsets as you can probably tell by looking at these.

we have a very large number of exciting new and re-vamped products still in the works will be 100% released well before christmas this year, potentially from halloween onwards. your support, patience and following is always appreciated.

biggest loveeee. caseyy x

MEIHAN SPORTSLAND D-COURSE

September 14th, 2021

since kansai all stars it has been reasonably quiet on the driving front over here in japan. as usual the lead up to kansai all stars every year is very full-on for all participants and garages involved so it is very common to have some down time post the event.

fast forwarding a month last event nakamura naoki, his son nakamura ryuu, aki fujio & friends had a very small, intimate and rainy day at meihan d course. a little day to give the next generation some time to practice and get some seat time and drive with some of the best.

below are a few photos i took over a 20 or so minute period, rain was pretty full on. i have also put together an 8 minute RAW POV onboard video from my little action cam on youtube in which i will embed into this post also. be sure to check it out – naoki and his son properly driving together for the first time which was amazing to watch and capture. PS if you want to see any photos larger just right click and open in new tab – have laid them out this way as there are a few in this post.

big love, always. caseyyy x

KANSAI ALL STARS

August 20th, 2021

a few weeks have passed since the last little update from the 3037 S13 getting completely put under the knife at garage REMS. skipping ahead this is an update with a fair few updates in one.

over the past 5-6 weeks the 3037 car has undergone a lot of changes both mechanically and cosmetically purely to enter kansai all stars 2021 in a well presented car, finally. this year is my 3rd year in a row and really wanted to ensure that the car wasn’t looking like it was in previous years. the majority of kansai drivers will do a refresh and makeover once a year and this is the event that is high priority.

after qualifying for nara prefecture this year ( 2 weeks prior ) it was basically go time at N-Style to get the car completely pulled down, cleaner parts such as doors installed and brand new aero from D-MAX in osaka all to be prepped for a candy lick of paint. i have owned this car a little over 3 years now and i feel like this was the perfect time to make the car exactly how it has turned out. the majority of kansai & meihan drivers usually tend to practice and put their budgets towards seat time and non stop maintenance rather than appearances so this is the same mentality i have tried to adopt since buying this car and attempting to get up the ladder at meihan c course. i feel like it would have been a little waste of time and money to buy the car and jump straight into making it pretty without getting to know the car let alone driving meihan.

the car’s rear end got completely cut off and pipe-framed thanks to waki-san at gagare REMS in kagawa over in tokushima. a fuel setup, cooler was also installed along with a GP SPORTS water sprayer kit and TRUST greddy larger oil pan to compensate temperatures for japanese summers. kansai all stars is usually the peak of summer here in japan (obon holiday week) so you have to prepare the car for extremely hot and muggy conditions. cleaner doors were put on and a full D-MAX type 3 aero kit including a brand new carbon bonnet put on the car, as soon as i purchased this car this was always the plan and choice i wanted to go with. i have some very rare wheels stored away which will also be going on the car at a later date but more on that stage soon!

below are a bunch of photos from getting the car stripped, prepped & painted. the lead up to kansai all stars and the event itself. the weather has been extremely horrible the last 2 weeks straight however the sun managed to come out this morning for the first time so i rolled the car out for 20 minutes and took a few photos with my camera along with seeing the candy paint in the sun for the first time. it’s hard to believe it’s the same car but couldn’t be happier i have given this car more life potentially!

at the bottom of this post i have added a little youtube video from the event itself that macey shot off his phone for me – thank you brother.

this years kansai all stars i made it through the 1st 2nd and 3rd rounds of qualifying advancing into the tournament which this year was my goal. top 12 was against kikutani in the grey S15 which i came out on top going through to the top 8. kitayama in the orange 180SX from kyoto managed to do a better run knocking me out which placed me 6th overall in expert which definitely didn’t feel real! i will try my best to get 1st 2nd or 3rd next year and get on the podium for all stars!

a very large thank you to all of those who are newly onboard as supports to myself and SHIRTSTUCKEDIN. i say this quite often but if it wasn’t for these companies and people below none of this would be possible.

– STANCEUSA
– KOYORAD
– N-STYLE
– STACKED RACING
– GCG Japan
– D-MAX Japan
– REMS

D1GP 2021 Round 1 & 2

April 28th, 2021

hello! it has definitely been a minute since i’ve picked up the camera and taken photos – this event last year to be precise. this past weekend was the initial round of D1GP 2021 rounds 1 & 2 held at okubuki ski resort in shiga prefecture, kansai. below are a selected amount of photos captured through my lens over the course of 3 days. D1GP cars and styling of course isn’t too precise within my category of cool looking cars however the more i witness this event and these cars driving i can’t help but to appreciate it more and more. the level of this event, dedication and focus is truly wild in person and super blessed to be apart of it.

the next round is held in tsukuba 2000 course (high speed main) mid to late June so hopefully be able to make it up there and continue shooting as many rounds as possible.

we are working on a small mini-release plus re-stock for SHIRTSTUCKEDIN available this coming Monday 2PM AEST Sunday 9PM PST. following this we are looking to have a much larger re-stock of goods and new items May onwards – thank you each and every single one of you for your support as always x

meihan D course RAW onboard video has now been uploaded to our YOUTUBE channel. super relaxed day of driving with friends playing with the car from last october. ended up blowing the 4.6 diff towards the end of the day however i have ordered brand new gears from nissan so hoping to get back out late this month 🙂 x
